WORKFORCE RESOURCES IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19

As our region’s federal and state authorized Local Workforce Board, Rogue Workforce Partnership is working closely with partner organizations at the regional, state, and federal levels to provide resources to employers and workers in response to the COVID-19 / coronavirus public health crisis. Listed below are the workforce resources currently available. We are monitoring, and also providing input/advocacy, as these program, policy and resource recalibration decisions are being made in Washington DC and Salem. Keep in mind that changes at the federal level may frequently play out a bit differently in each state, as each state exercises its own discretion within the broader federal umbrella. This page will be kept current with the latest information.

Layoff Aversion

The Rapid Response Team can help companies avoid layoffs, so contact them to learn more about the following:

Workshare

Work Share provides an alternative for employers and workers facing the prospect of a layoff. Instead of reducing staff, an employer reduces the hours of work for a group of workers. Partial Unemployment Insurance benefits are then paid to supplement workers’ reduced wages.

Customized Layoff Aversion Funds

SORRY, THE LAYOFF AVERSION GRANT FUNDS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

Due to overwhelming community response, we have received dozens of funding applications totaling over three times the amount of funding we have available!

We hope to have more funds available soon. In the meantime, please work with your bank, the Small Business Development Center, and other resources to find out what additional funding may be available now.

Stay safe and healthy so this will all be over soon.
